Yinson triumphs once again at the Edge Billion Ringgit Club and Corporate Awards 2018

Having won the title for the highest profit before tax growth for the trading and services sector in 2016, Yinson rakes in yet another title win by the recent The Edge Billion Ringgit Club and Corporate Awards 2018 as the joint winner for the highest return on equity (ROE) in three years in the energy sector, under the sectoral corporate awards category.
The awards category recognizes that, despite seeing an ROE decline from 23% in FY2014 to 10% in FY2017, Yinson’s figures was still among the highest in the industry at the time. The company’s adjusted weighted ROE demonstrated a high 14.1% three-year compound annual growth rate during the evaluation period.
As at July 31st of 2018, Yinson had total assets of RM7.58 billion, comprising equity of RM3.77 billion against liabilities of RM3.81 billion.
The prestigious award was accepted by Yinson Holdings Berhad Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director, Mr. Lim Han Joeh, at the awards ceremony that was held at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur on 11th December 2018.
The Edge Billion Ringgit Club, organised by The Edge Media Group, recognizes Malaysia’s top performing listed companies with a market capitalisation of at least RM1 billion. In that regard, the awards platform was initiated in an effort not only to immortalize the outstanding achievements attained, but also to encourage more companies to strive harder for excellence.
