Yinson organises and distributes sporting kits during Futurestars CSR partners day

As part of Futurestars’ CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Partners Day on 8th December 2018, Yinson, together with other participating partners of the Futurestars charity, worked tirelessly to unload and organise sporting kits from a 40ft container at the Tema Sports Stadium, near Accra in Ghana.
The project started off as a kit amnesty in the United Kingdom, where multiple supporting companies contributed time, energy and funds to provide hundreds of shoes, coaching kits, sporting equipment and clothing to fill up the 40ft container and have it shipped to Tema.
Once the container was delivered to Tema Sports Stadium, Yinson together with other participating partners, teachers from Futurestars schools, staff from the Ghana Education Service (GES) as well as local charity Accra-based Akwaaba Volunteers, worked hand-in-hand to sort and distribute the items to five underprivileged schools in Tema.
The primary schools that enjoyed the donation are Baatsona, Community 7/1, Community 8/1, Republic Road and Twedaase. These schools were chosen in consultation with the Ghana Education Service (GES).
Futurestars is a non-profit education-through-sports programme that offers weekly sports coaching sessions, run by qualified coaches, to underprivileged school children in Tema, Ghana, and Lomé, Togo.
