Donating and volunteering at the food distribution programme
As a part of Yinson’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives, over 20 employees volunteered at the Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam (“PERTIWI”) Soup Kitchen project held at Medan Tuanku and Anjung Singgah, Kuala Lumpur.
The employees served approximately 500 rice packs, cream rolls, waffles and packet drinks sponsored by Yinson to the underprivileged community.
“We are very proud of our employees who have volunteered at the PERTIWI Soup Kitchen on behalf of Yinson. The Group believes that it is imperative that we contribute back to the society in wherever location we operate.” said Mr. Lim Han Weng, Group Executive Chairman.
“This is our first time working with PERTIWI. We salute PERTIWI for their commitment and noble efforts in serving the community and we hope to continue sharing this love and care to the society and supporting the poor and homeless.” He added.
PERTIWI Soup Kitchen was established since 2010 to provide basic meals to the needy at various locations around Kuala Lumpur on a regular basis. With the support of corporate and individual sponsors, this community outreach programme provides free meals and other forms of assistance to the homeless and hard-core poor people.
