Assistant Manager, Sustainability Communications

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated person to join our Corporate Communications team. Working closely with the Corporate Sustainability team, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of the company’s sustainability communications, which are core to Yinson’s overall Group strategy – particularly communications surrounding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues from Yinson’s business divisions and offices across the globe to develop a communications programme and deliverables that support ESG efforts in alignment with our Group Vision, Mission and Strategy. You will play a key role in helping Yinson build a strong reputation as global corporate citizen. You possess a combination of excellent communication skills, sustainability aptitude, creativity and innovation.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability communications strategy, particularly relating to ESG initiatives across the Group, in alignment with Group Vision, Mission, Core Values and Strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Sustainability team to develop messaging and advocacy materials relating to Yinson’s ESG commitments, enhancing the Yinson brand in areas of ESG.
  • Drive continuous improvements to Yinson’s ESG disclosures across Yinson’s communication channels, including Annual Reports, websites and social media channels
  • Drive awareness and outreach campaigns related to Yinson’s ESG commitments
  • Be part of the core team in driving the enhancement of ESG related measurements/ratings
  • Be directly involved in the development of impactful CSR activities across all Yinson’s local communities  
  • Assist in preparation of pitches and proposals for both internal and external communications
  • Experienced in ESG, sustainability and/or corporate social responsibility-focused communication efforts
  • Possesses knowledge of core ESG issues related to the energy infrastructure and technology sectors
  • 7 to 10 years experience in corporate communications, including media management, branding, social media
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong ability to work laterally across different business units and geographical locations, and vertically across all staff levels
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to travel as and when required
