Yinson Holdings Berhad (“Yinson” or “the Group”) has recently received the ISO 37001 certification from international certification body Bureau Veritas, in recognition of its robust Anti-Bribery Management System (“ABMS”).
The certification audit, which was undertaken by Yinson’s Global Headquarters in Malaysia and Projects Headquarters in Singapore, yielded Zero Non-Conformities.
In its audit report, Bureau Veritas also noted Yinson’s strong commitment to continual improvement of its ABMS, clear internal communications, good whistleblowing mechanisms and comprehensive Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption (“ABAC”) due diligence processes for external parties.
Yinson is amongst the first oil and gas companies in Malaysia to be certified ISO 37001 by Bureau Veritas.
Commenting on the award, Yinson Group Chief Executive Officer, Lim Chern Yuan said, “This ingrained ABAC culture with clear commonality is important to combat corruption and will improve relationships with all parties. The Senior Management strives to keep an open communication with all employees and, together with the Board Risk Management Committee, are committed to upholding this ABAC culture in Yinson.”
“This certification will have positive ripple effect, influencing all stakeholders to raise their standards relating to ABAC when dealing with Yinson. I believe that the culture of zero tolerance towards bribery and corruption will be continually ingrained and enhanced going forward with the ISO 37001 certification and subsequent surveillance audits.”
Yinson General Counsel, Group Legal, Andrew Choy Wei Nung said, “Yinson is committed to continually strengthening our ABMS processes and procedures and eradicating any form of corruption along our supply chain. Our sincere thanks goes to all our stakeholders for their cooperative efforts throughout this journey that has helped Yinson to be recognised for the highest standard of integrity.”
