Yinson Holdings Berhad is once again recognised by HR Asia as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia”. Receiving the award for the second consecutive time, this win truly echoes the immense investment Yinson has put into its most important stakeholder over the years – its employees.

Honouring companies with outstanding employer practices and employee engagement across the Asian region, the award is based on online employee surveys which explored three main categories; Core, Self and Group. This year, 13,390 employees from a total of 359 companies across Malaysia responded to the HR Asia’s ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia’ survey.

Receiving this prestigious award has extended Yinson’s trailblazing achievements over the years. Yinson has recently been awarded HR Asia’s Best Companies to work in Asia Award, in Singapore Chapter and subsequently in Malaysia Chapter for the second time, making this event a memorable milestone. The award was presented during a black-tie event on 8 November 2019 at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Upon receiving the award, Yinson assistant general manager of human resources and capital development, Natalie Kuan said that the secret of Yinson’s success was its ability to attract good talents by creating a vibrant, progressive workplace that puts people first.

“Our HR programme focusses on being a reliable employer to our employees – meaning we take care of their welfare. We create an open environment that encourages honesty and trust, and that allows us to learn from our failures. We invest in giving our employees the environment, training and tools to be both adaptable and decisive. We always make decisions that encourage them to stay with us for the long haul because this is our key strategy for creating a sustainable future for Yinson,” said Natalie.

The annual HR Asia Awards Malaysia Edition is hosted by HR Asia, one of Asia’s most authoritative publications for senior human resource professionals, covering over 12 markets across the region. World class corporations with high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures are handpicked as award recipients.
