Yinson has donated 10,500 units of N95 masks to the National School of Public Health Sergio Arouca (ENSP/Fiocruz) and the National Institute of Infectology (INI/Fiocruz) today in Rio de Janeiro where the Group’s Brazil office is based. The donated N95 masks will be distributed among healthcare professionals in three frontline assistance units at the Fiocruz ENSP and INI centres as well as its main hospital.
The donated units of N95 masks were warmly received by the Director of National School of Public Health (ENSP), Hermano Castro, Deputy Director of Clinical Services of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases Evandro Chagas (INI/Fiocruz), Estevão Portela Nunes, Head of the ENSP School Health Centre, Carlos Costa and Dr. Celina Boga of ENSP Health Center who helped arrange the donation initiative.
Commenting on the donation, Director of ENSP Hermano Castro thanked Yinson for the contribution and said, “The N95 masks offer better protection against aerosols which are small particles in the air. We have hundreds of healthcare professionals working in this institution and consumption of face masks are very high. We always strive to provide the safest working conditions to our healthcare workers so that in return, they can provide good service to the general population. Therefore, we truly appreciate this thoughtful donation as it helps keep our frontliners safe.”
This latest contribution is one of several ways Yinson has been actively supporting the fight against Covid-19 thus far.
