Yinson GreenTech took part in two major maritime events in Singapore: the Singapore Maritime Week (“SMW”) 2025 and the Maritime Battery Forum 2025. These events, held towards the end of March, were pivotal in demonstrating our commitment to advancing maritime technology and sustainability.

SMW is an annual flagship event organised by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (“MPA”) and this year, it was held at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. It was an excellent platform for Yinson GreenTech to share our latest advancements and engage with industry leaders, fostering valuable connections and collaborations. The Hydroglyder, featured throughout the exhibition, was the true star of the show we offered interested attendees daily tours of the state-of-the-art, zero-emissions passenger vessel. Besides that, Yinson GreenTech’s Jan-Viggo Johansen, Managing Director of marinEV, and Sankara Chidambaram, System Solutions Manager, were guest speakers at the event, further emphasising our expertise in the green technology landscape.

Yinson GreenTech, together with RW Marine Services Pte Ltd (“RW”) and Wilhelmsen Port Services (S) Pte Ltd (“WPS”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) to accelerate the adoption of marine electrification and sustainable maritime transport in Singapore. Through the MoU, Yinson GreenTech plans to provide electric vessels to RW, who will lease and manage the fleet; while WPS shall coordinate the deployment of these electric vessels from RW for launch services. Both RW and WPS will also adopt and grow the use of the Marine Digital Platform (“MDP”), developed by Yinson GreenTech, for port services in Singapore. This collaboration supports MPA’s goals of emission reduction and enhanced operational efficiency, realising the adoption of electric service vessels in the Port of Singapore.

A key highlight of the event was the visit by MPA Chairman and Deputy Chairman Mr Niam Chiang Meng and Mr Loh Khum Yean, who were introduced to Yinson GreenTech’s MDP. The team also had the honour or hosting Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State of Sustainability and the Environment, and shared on how our electric and digital solutions align with Singapore’s Maritime Decarbonisation Blueprint.

Meanwhile, the Maritime Battery Forum 2025 brought together industry experts to discuss the latest advancements in maritime battery technology. As a member of the forum, Yinson GreenTech presented our cutting-edge solutions and engaged in insightful discussions on the future of maritime electrification. The Hydromover was the star of the event, adding to the excitement with its impressive capabilities during the one-day showcase. Our contributions to the forum demonstrated our leadership in the field and our commitment to driving sustainable practices within the maritime industry. Additionally, Eric Chean, Senior Business Development Manager, was a guest speaker at the event, sharing valuable information on the Hydromover’s battery technology.

Overall, Yinson GreenTech’s participation in these events reinforced our position as a leader in maritime technology and sustainability. We look forward to continuing our efforts in advancing the industry and contributing to a greener future, and to the next big event in which we can showcase our continuous efforts and innovations.
