Yinson GreenTech’s maritime electrification arm, marinEV, has achieved validation of its greenhouse gas (GHG) calculation methodology by Bureau Veritas, confirming alignment with the ISO 14064-2:2019 international standard.
This validation marks a pivotal milestone in marinEV’s pursuit of transparency and accountability in quantifying emission reductions from the operation of electric vessels and vehicles. The certified methodology ensures that GHG reporting is consistent, and traceable providing partners, regulators, and clients with greater confidence in the accuracy of marinEV’s decarbonisation data.
By achieving ISO 14064-2 validation, marinEV not only reinforces its commitment to measurable climate action but also sets a higher benchmark for data-driven sustainability reporting in Singapore’s maritime ecosystem.
“The validation of our GHG methodology marks another key step in our continuous improvement journey,” said Jan Viggo Jansen, Managing Director of marinEV. “It gives our clients and partners confidence that the carbon reductions achieved through our electric vessel operations are measured with integrity, supported by data, and verified to the highest international standards. Most importantly, it helps us refine our internal processes, making our decarbonisation approach not just credible, but operationally efficient.”
Building upon its existing achievements: ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications, marinEV continues to strengthen its Integrated Management System, embedding sustainability assurance across every level of its operations.
