Yinson has been included in the prestigious S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, marking our first recognition by S&P Global as a Yearbook Member. S&P Global also named us as Industry Mover, an accolade that acknowledges that we charted the strongest improvement amongst our peers in the Energy Equipment & Services Industry.

The Sustainability Yearbook distinguishes companies within their industries that have demonstrated strengths in corporate sustainability. Yearbook Members and distinctions are selected based on the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) Score – a rating through extensive review and analysis by S&P Global while excluding any modelling score.

To qualify for the Sustainability Yearbook Membership, companies must rank within the top 15% of their industry by number, achieve a CSA Score of above 30 and fall within 30% of the industry’s top-performing companies. The company that demonstrated the strongest improvement in their industry, while achieving a minimum improvement of 5% of their CSA score is recognised as an Industry Mover.

Yinson’s inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook is particularly noteworthy as we are in an industry where sustainability challenges are significant, signalling that we have meticulously integrated sustainability considerations into our business operations.

Yinson Head of Corporate Sustainability, Dr Renard Siew, commented, “By earning a coveted spot on the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook and being recognised as an industry mover, Yinson reaffirms its commitment to sustainable practices, showcasing not only excellence in performance but also a steadfast dedication to environmental, social, and governance principles. This acknowledgement serves as a testament to our unwavering pursuit of responsible corporate citizenship and sets a benchmark for sustainable leadership in the global arena.”

The 2023 Corporate Sustainability Assessment conducted by S&P Global involved an exhaustive review of companies across 62 industries. 9,400 companies were assessed, with analysts scrutinising 174,000 documents and collecting a vast amount of data totalling to 16.5 million data points. In 2024, 759 companies made it into the Sustainability Yearbook.
