Yinson has contributed 3,500 units of medical protective clothing and 1,000 pieces of face masks to Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru in response to a donation initiative by the Johor Menteri Besar’s office.

Totaling up to RM283,000 in value, the donated items were handed over by Yinson Group Executive Chairman Mr Lim Han Weng to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in a ceremony presided by the Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni bin Mohammad.

To date, Yinson has contributed over RM1 million to support the fight against Covid-19, with donated items including masks, medical protective equipment, healthy meals and personal hygiene items.

Commenting on the situation, Yinson Group Executive Chairman Mr Lim Han Weng said, “Yinson was founded in 1983 in Johor Bahru as a transport and logistics company, and we are thankful for the part that our home state has played in shaping our company’s history. This donation is our humble way of giving back to our home state by doing our part to help alleviate the pressing issue of personal protective equipment (PPE) supply shortage in this battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The Menteri Besar of Johor has also expressed his gratitude towards Yinson for this donation, while added that these items will be handed to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for the frontliners.
