On 21 November 2019, Yinson Production West Africa Limited, a subsidiary of Yinson, expanded the coverage of its CSR efforts in host communities in Ghana to include the Pretea Junior High School. This was marked by a joint contribution of football jerseys together with our local charity partner, Futurestars.

The location of the school is slightly further away from our operations base in Kejabil and was not among the selected public schools in our host communities that were a part of Yinson’s CSR activities last year. In addition to 27 football jerseys, preloved shoes in good condition were handed out to the underprivileged school.

Earlier in April 2019, laptops were also donated to the Pretea school and 2 students from the school had also benefited from our Yinson Scholars Programme. This new initiative driven by both Yinson Production West Africa Limited and Futurestars extends Yinson’s continuous dedication to improve the areas in which it operates by placing a strong emphasis on investing in the welfare of local communities.

Yinson is a Platinum sponsor of Futurestars, a non-profit education-through-sports programme that offers weekly sports coaching sessions run by qualified coaches for school children in Ghana and Togo. The programme was first mobilized in 2015 by Yinson Production West Africa Limited and the company’s local joint partner, OMA Ghana Ltd.
