Yinson has reaffirmed our commitment to environmental stewardship by contributing RM12,000 to the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS) through a symbolic nest adoption initiative. This meaningful contribution supported the care and protection of 100 turtle nests, which collectively contained 1,303 eggs. From these, an impressive 999 hatchlings successfully emerged.

Since May/June, TCS has been caring for and head-starting 1,300 terrapins. These terrapins are gradually being released into their natural habitat, with 680 released just last weekend.

Yinson’s contribution also helped fund essential supplies such as kangkung (water spinach) and pellets, which are used to nourish the terrapins during their head-starting phase.

To commemorate the initiative, Yinson team members recently joined TCS in their annual terrapin release event, marking a symbolic and hands-on gesture of support for local conservation efforts.

This initiative reflects Yinson’s ongoing dedication to biodiversity and sustainable practices, while fostering community engagement in protecting Malaysia’s endangered freshwater turtles.
