Yinson received the Gold award recognition in the ‘Benchmarking Award’ category at The Asset ESG Corporate Awards 2023 held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore.

The Asset benchmarks and evaluates companies’ corporate sustainability covering their ESG performances, management acumen and quality of investor relations. This category recognises Yinson’s excellence in environmental, social and governance performance as benchmarked against our peers.

Speaking on the recognition, Yinson’s Head of Corporate Sustainability, Dr Renard Siew, commented, “We are honoured to receive this Gold recognition from The Asset. We will continue to integrate sustainability considerations into our business operations to drive sustainable value creation for our stakeholders.”

Dr Renard was also invited to speak at a panel session, ‘Beyond the Hype’ at The Asset 6th ESG Summit. While sharing on the topic of moving beyond the hype and diving deeper into meaningful action, he commented, “Embracing sustainability is a strategic imperative and not just about ticking boxes. The focus should really be on creating lasting impact for our planet, society and businesses.” He also mentioned that it is vital to prioritise sustainability topics that are material to the business, not just doing ‘everything, everywhere all at once’.

The Asset ESG Corporate Awards is Asia’s longest-running ESG excellence recognition award, recognising companies that have embraced sustainability as part of corporate values and practices. In 2023, The Asset has further refined the evaluation basis aligning with the three foundational principles: intention, disclosure, and performance.
