Yinson is honoured to win the Silver Award under the General Award category at the 2023 Australasian Reporting Awards (“ARA”). The recognition marks the second consecutive year in which Yinson has been accorded the prestigious award.

The ARA is organised by Australasian Reporting Awards Limited, an independent not-for-profit organisation run by volunteer professionals from the business, government and not-for-profit sectors, with support from organisations concerned with the quality of business and financial reporting. The recognition gives organisations an opportunity to benchmark their reports against ARA criteria, which are based on global best practices.

The General Award provides a measure of the standard of reporting that has been achieved. A report may achieve a Gold, Silver or Bronze Award, or No Award, according to the extent to which it satisfies the criteria. Yinson’s 2022 Annual Report themed ‘Purpose Driven’ achieved a Silver Award, affirming that the report has provided quality coverage of most of the ARA criteria; satisfactory disclosure of key aspects of its business; and outstanding disclosure in at least one major area, such as either Governance and Ethics, Human Resources Management or Financial Performance and Financial Statements.

Yinson Group Chief Strategy Officer, Mr Chai Jia Jun commented, “Yinson acknowledges the growing demand for better transparency and disclosure by today’s stakeholders. We strive to raise our reporting benchmark, ensuring compliance with global standards and best practices. Receiving this recognition only reinforces our commitment to building investor confidence while also identifying areas for improvement in order for Yinson to continuously deliver comprehensive reporting that generates sustainable value to all our stakeholders.”

In accordance with international disclosure standards, Yinson is dedicated to continuously improving the quality of disclosures in its annual reports. Yinson’s 2022 Annual Report emphasised enhancing connectivity by aligning disclosures on the Group’s Capitals to its updated material topics, producing more clarity on how the Group manages its risks and opportunities. The Report also highlighted both financial and non-financial drivers of the Group, in a section devoted to performance data.

The award certificates and trophies were presented at the ARA Awards Presentation Dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney on 15 June 2023.
