Yinson has won Silver in the category of Asia’s Best Integrated Report (First Time) at the Asia Integrated Reporting Awards (“AIRA”) 2021. Entering its 7th year, the AIRA is the most prestigious recognition for integrated reporting as it recognises and honours reporting leaders’ best practices in sustainability reporting and communications.

As a growing global energy company, Yinson is committed to continually improving the disclosures in its Annual Reports by aligning with the highest standards of disclosure, including the International Integrated Reporting Framework and the GRI. This award extends Yinson’s winning streak following the PwC Malaysia Building Trust Awards 2021 and the MSWG-ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards 2020.

“We have worked hard to improve Yinson’s standards of disclosure over the years, as we believe this helps our stakeholders to understand our business and how we generate value. This award is a testament of our ongoing efforts to improve our reporting disclosures, giving stakeholders a clearer perspective and helping them make informed investment decisions on our business,” said Yinson Group Chief Strategy Officer Mr. Daniel Bong.

The AIRA awards announcement comes off the back of a rigorous assessment process, where an independent judging panel determines the finalists and winners. Judging involves three assessment rounds to select the very best in each award category. In addition to assessing the report quality, the judging process also involves comprehensive due diligence that considers companies’ reputation among their stakeholders. The award received 94 entries from 8 countries across 8 award categories. After the preliminary evaluations, 25 companies from 6 countries reached the finals, with 12 eventual winners picking up 21 gold, silver and bronze awards.
