chargEV, the EV charging infrastructure business of Yinson GreenTech, together with DC Handal, JomCharge, and CarputZAP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) to establish the eRoaming Hub Alliance (“the Alliance”), which seeks to establish a unified and seamless EV charging experience across networks and brands.

The Alliances’ four initial founding members currently operate more than 1,000 charge points across Malaysia, laying the foundation for enhanced interoperability, convenience, and data integration for both consumers and the EV ecosystem’s Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”).

The Alliance will initiate a joint working group tasked with aligning operational protocols, data sharing frameworks, and backend integrations towards developing a unified platform that enables effortless EV charging through a single interface or account, regardless of the CPO. The platform also aims to improve visibility and comparability of charging fees across networks and serve as a single point of reference for OEMs to collaborate with Malaysia’s CPO ecosystem.

Lim Chern Yuan, Yinson GreenTech Chief Executive Officer shared, “chargEV is delighted to be joining the Alliance, which marks a pivotal step towards bridging networks and advancing accessible, reliable EV charging for all Malaysians. This collaborative effort will enable seamless integration across platforms, offering a consistent and transparent experience to every EV user. Through this Alliance, we are setting new standards to help Malaysia’s EV landscape flourish and demonstrating our full support of the government’s vision of achieving its net zero ambitions.”
