Launched in 2019 and managed by Yinson Production Ghana, the ‘Yinson Scholars Programme’, is a scholarship programme for students in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. This scholarship programme benefits high school students from low-income households in Yinson’s host communities near Takoradi; namely Apowa, Kejabil and Pretea.
In 2023, the programme was expanded to include undergraduate scholarships, enabling promising students to pursue their tertiary education, and bring long-lasting change to their families and ultimately, their communities as a whole.
The scholarship covers a monthly stipend for each student and the provision of textbooks, exercise books, school bags, shoes, calculators, trunks, chopboxes, mattresses and pillows.
