Yinson recently returned to a public primary school in Kampung Gajah, Perak, where we first visited months ago, to continue driving positive social impact. This time, to donate eight laptops that are repurposed laptops from within the organisation to support the school’s IT (Information Technology) curriculum.
In our initial visit back in June 2025, Yinson employees had the privilege of co-teaching the pupils under the guidance of Teach For Malaysia’s dedicated educators. Through this meaningful interaction, we identified the school’s inadequate IT infrastructure that could hamper the pupils’ capabilities in the digital era. Their circumstance gave Yinson an opportunity to aid with the school’s shortage of basic computer equipment.
This initiative reflects our dual commitment to promote quality education and effective learning. By extending the lifecycle of existing resources, we have not only supported a vital learning need but also demonstrated the principles of a circular economy – creating impact without additional consumption.
To date, Yinson has donated more than 70 laptops to various local schools needing basic IT infrastructure. We believe that small actions such as these can leave a lasting and impactful change. We are proud to stand alongside underprivileged communities in their journey toward a more inclusive and sustainable future.
